You Are Inspiring Hope, One Dance Class at a Time
Dance Every Journey began in 2022 to provide on-site, exceptional dance programming for local assisted living centers. We began a pilot program in two facilities while we were applying for our nonprofit status. Classes were booming right away and we were so excited to begin serving other communities!
Our goal for 2023 was to be in 5 facilities and to begin our Veterans program. God was so good and we surpassed our goal! We are currently serving at 7 assisted living facilities, serving veterans through the VA hospital's domiciliary, providing free programming for seniors in Johnson County through a partnership with Johnson County Senior Services AND we're beginning our programming for adults with autism this month! None of our facilities or participants have paid a penny for any class. We have been blessed with generous donors who have funded all of our programming so far!
Our enriching opportunities serve seniors by improving coordination, strength, balance, emotional and social well-being, brain health, cardiovascular health, energy levels, etc. Our curriculum was specifically designed to help seniors excel and find their fullest potential.
We currently have more than 10 facilities left to serve in Johnson County alone and need your help! Each facility costs $75/week or $3,350 for one year. Our goal is to raise $2,500 so that we may begin serving a new facility in April! $2,500 would cover costs for one facility to have classes once per week from April-December 2024.
